Ivy Drops Wallpaper The Art Of J-Walking

Anyone Seen My Wallet?

April 17th, 2003

Those who know me well enough, know that I love to talk about Japan. Mostly I like to talk about the technology in Japan like “cell phones”:http://www.wirelesswatchjapan.com/, “electronics”:http://www.showroom.sony.co.jp/, or “Shinkansen”:http://www.japanrail.com/ (bullet trains) because those in the states have lame cell phones, three seasons removed technology and “B.A.R.T.”:http://www.bart.gov/index.asp. However, the main topic I always like to talk about (although most times I think it falls on deaf ears) is “video games”:http://www.nintendo.co.jp. Yes, I admit it, I’m a huge video game geek with a rabid love for all games Japanese. I dream about walking into a huge Japanese video game store and plunking down 239,340 •en (roughly $2000 US) on a massive collection of games.

Where would one find such a place? How about “Aso Bit City”:http://www.laox.jp/laox/store.jsp?store_id=280 where all the geeks go! What makes this all worse is people like “Christopher Kobayashi”:http://radio.weblogs.com/0118995/ take “awesome pictures of inside Aso Bit City”:http://radio.weblogs.com/0118995/categories/gaming/2003/04/11.html#a62 that make me drool and foam with envy.

Someday… someday…

Yeah, but now you can take BART to the airport — as if going to the airport wasn’t already a hassle, let’s throw BART into the mix.

Yup, I looooove Aso Bit City! I’ll try to get there at least once a week or couple of weeks and put up more photos/videos. Get you jealous and push you to the point of buying a plane ticket ;)

Oooooo… more pictures! Yeah Yeah! As for the plane ticket, that’s probably a ways off :( Convincing the wife isn’t an easy task…

It’s great to be living here and not staying on a visitor Visa (Tourist Visa).
