I’m not so sure that to age is wonderful. I’m certainly not looking forward to turning 30 in exactly 366 days (leap year you know so I get an extra day).
I don’t have much choice in the matter but today is my 29th birthday. For those that have sent me cards, thank you! For those that haven’t, shame on you!
Just kidding.
Going to have a “big” party out at the beach today. Did you know that there are 4 people in my family that have birthdays with 3 days of each other? Some with the same day (My cousin and I).
Enjoy your long weekend (if you have one), I know I will!

Happy Birthday Autumn, your day has arrived. You’re finally 7 years old! What are you going to do now? That’s right, get dressed and go to school!
At least you’ll be bringing cupcakes to school to get all the other kids pumped full of sugar. Excellent work!
Love you,
Daddy

Autumn had a tea party last Saturday to celebrate her 7th birthday with her friends. Of course, only girls were allowed to attend and no, the Rabbit was not invited. Most of the girls dressed up in “wacky” outfits while others were shy.

( All dressed up )
Everyone had a blast (so I heard) and I was told I must post all the photos. Yes sir! So, why don’t you get in the mood and dress up while visiting “Autumn’s 7th Birthday Tea Party”:/gallery/album22.
For those of you playing at home, Autumn’s real birthday isn’t until Wednesday… the first day of school.

Ok. I’ve had enough of this. I want rain. I want to be freezing while walking to the ferry in the early morning. I want to see my breath while I run to catch the evening ferry. I’m just tired of the heat. It’s not even that hot here (mid-80’s at work, low-90’s at home) really. Some people get 100+ degree weather everyday but this is my blog and I’m going to complain.
Well at least I get AC while I’m at work. Oh, I also get to listen to my iPod. Yeah, I’m living the life…

Ok… I’ll be the first to admit it, I haven’t voted since 1992. Hey, “Arnold”:http://www.schwarzenegger.com/en/index.asp hasn’t voted since gee… I don’t think he even remembers and he’s running for Governor. Well, I plan on registering for California recall election vote and well be voting Yes on removing the lame duck Davis from office. I will then proceed to search for Arnold’s name and hopefully, if I’m lucky, vote for him for Governor. If I’m not lucky I may wind up voting for Gary Coleman. Ugh.
Word of caution: I always vote when a favorite actor of mine is running. I can’t recall anyone in my era to do that before hence my absence in the voters booth. Riiiiight…

Well, we knew it would happen, we just didn’t know when. Aiden has been crawling since just after our Disneyland trip, although he started to get the hang of it while we were on the trip. He is also sitting up without help making him a very active boy.
The coolest thing now is pushing himself up onto things. He’s favorite is to stand holding onto the couch while trying to reach anything his little paws can grab. Mainly the t.v. remote and video game controllers

To celebrate Aiden and his 7 month birthday, I’ve got new photos in the “Aiden August gallery”:/gallery/album23. Everybody get up and dance!

Who’s there?
Barney.
Barney who?
You’re a barney for not blogging enough!
Har! I know… don’t go there. I’m tired. I’m “busy”. I’ve been… uh… really busy. Lately I just haven’t been blogging much. Heck, I haven’t even been reading other blogs. Something will change though, it needs to. I’m missing that fire that burns within, which really drags me down.
Autumn is turning 7 next week and I’ll be turning 29… maybe that’s my problem. She’ll also been starting 2nd grade the same day as her birthday, harsh! Since our birthdays are close together (she’s the 27th and I’m the 30th), I remember having my birthday right before school started AFTER Labor Day. But noooooooooooooooooo… school has to start before Labor Day now. That’s just messed up. At least she’ll be having a nice birthday tea party tomorrow with her friends. And no, I won’t be attending
I’m a little late with this but Aiden is now crawling and sitting up on his own. Yes, life in the house will never be the same. Mobile babies are very scary yet cute at the same time. It’s almost mesmerizing to watch him crawl around, making giddyish sounds, acting all proud that he can now inflict terror on us. Watching him pull himself up on things, attempting to walk is great. Heck, he isn’t even 7 months old yet (Sunday).
Expect more pictures of the kids soon, been slacking on those lately due to other nighttime priorities. I’ll also think up a better knock, knock joke (doubtful).

Yes, I am a slacker. I’ve finally posted the photos from our “recent Disneyland trip”:/gallery/album21. Be warned, there are a lot of photos… 140 to be exact. I’ll prune them out later
Enjoy!

I’m dizzy. The vacation is over and I feel as though I need another one just to recover. Five days at the park, four of them from dawn to dusk and one full day of shopping. Throw in the 7 hour drive home with a broken AC in a god damn new car and that makes one vomit inducing week.
Lucky for me I didn’t have to ride the tea cups as that for sure would have caused me to toss a weeks worth of salad.
Dizzy Cups
At one point during her second time on the tea cups, Autumn asked Mommy if they could spin the other way as she was getting dizzy. No shit! I hate those things, argh!
The last day at the park was very “intense” as we tried to get on as many rides as we could, plus some that we didn’t try yet like “Splash Mountain”. Thankfully I was able to secure some fast pass tickets that morning for the ride so we all got to ride it (minus Aiden). I didn’t remember the ride being so long. After finishing Fantasy Land and Mickey’s Toon Town in Disneyland, we “hopped” on over to California Adventure Park to finish our trip. We watched Playhouse Disney Live on Stage (yeah… ), attended Who Wants To Be A Millionaire - Play It (didn’t get to play on stage… boo), rode the Grizzly River Run twice and the girls went on Soarin’ Over California which I guess made them both a little ill.
Overall visiting the parks was a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to doing it again since we all know what to expect now. I’m sure by the time we actually go again Aiden will be old enough to ride on some of the kiddie rides which should make it a lot more fun for him. I will say he was a good trooper hanging out in his stroller for 6 days, most babies probably wouldn’t like that so much.
I’ll be posting the whole photo album later, probably tomorrow. I’m just too tired to go through each photo one by one.

Shop till you drop, that’s what we did on Wednesday. Boy, I didn’t think spending money would actually be that much work. We didn’t get back to the hotel until after dinner which is not what I had in mind for a rest day. Hell, we didn’t even go swimming.
Today we spent the whole day at Disneyland and didn’t see the whole park yet. Still two more sections to go, hopefully we’ll get to those tomorrow. Now, I’m pretty tired now, awaiting the arrival of our 9th wedding anniversary room service dessert (bowl of berries while Krista gets creme brulee) so I’m only posting one picture tonight but I think it’s a cute one
