UPS is normally pretty good for me. Sometimes I even get lucky receiving next day service from ground based shipping. Not this time. Since I’m one of those who doesn’t like to wait for games to be released state side, I went ahead and ordered the Japanese version of “Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles”:http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ngc/gccj/index.html because it looks like a fun game that both Autumn and I can play together.
The game was suppose to arrive yesterday and all signs were pointing to that fact. Instead, I write this after calling both UPS and the shipper to notify them that I hadn’t received the package and to please find out who stole it. Stole it? Yes, these things do get stolen quite often. Why? On eBay you can “sell them”:http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?query=final+fantasy+crystal+chronicles+gamecube&ht=1&sosortproperty=1&from=R10&BasicSearch= for a quick $60. Not a bad haul for 5mins of work.
Do I really think someone at brown stole my package? No. Does it happen though? “Yes”:http://www.hoboes.com/pub/Firearms/Technical%20Details/Gun%20Shipping%20Pointers.
So, what am I to do. I’ll probably wait this one out till next week and then reorder from a different company and use a different shipper. All it takes for me is one bad taste in my mouth about anything to learn my lesson (usually).
This is what I get for not having patience when it comes to video games. Thanks Brown.
Notes: While researching more information about lost or stolen UPS shipments I came across a “web site”:http://www.unitedpackagesmashers.com/ that describes the “life of your UPS packages”:http://www.unitedpackagesmashers.com/pages/truck/index.shtml. My poor game
