Spam is something everyone is familiar with. However, just recently I’ve started to receive blog spam in the form of comments that contain nothing but “Interesting” or “Nice read”. Normally that wouldn’t be a big problem but the spammers have been including their company name and url in order to get some free advertising.

Thanks to “Erik”:http://nslog.com/archives/2003/10/09/easy_comment_deletion.php and “Judi”:http://www.momathome.com/viewfromhome/archivesnew/movable_type/zapping_comment_spam.html, I’m aware that this isn’t a problem I suffer alone. Since I use Moveable Type, I’ve “adopted this easy method”:http://www.mentalized.net/journal/2003/09/09/movable_type_easier_editremoval_of_new_comments/ of removing the offending comment spam. I’ll still have to manually ban the IP but maybe I hack something to solve that.
