The podcast has made history by being included in the infamous iTunes Music Store podcast directory. Hurray! If I didn’t feel like crap I’d probably celebrate with another show. Ok, it’s not that exciting but still.

NASA-Funded Scientists Discover Tenth Planet and yet it doesn’t seem to be a very popular news story. Pretty interesting to me, I’ve always enjoyed looking up at the stars. When I was much younger we had a telescope powerful enough to see distant stars and planets.

Lance Armstrong won his final Tour de France, retiring from the sport after winning 7 straight. Wow. This guy is amazing. I remember watching him in the 1992 Olympics with all the hype and he wasn’t able to bring it home. Coming back after having cancer and winning 7 straight Tour’s? Wow.

OB (Owlboy) comes through for the win! Check out the fabulous logo he drew just for me after I asked him why he hadn’t drawn any damn turtles yet.
Thanks buddy! Great work!

Are you sick and tired of having to deal with telemarketers? Ready to have some fun with them instead of just hanging up?
10 fun comebacks for your telemarketer lists ways to have a little fun with those annoying you most. It’s best to have caller id when performing these tricks otherwise your mother might not be to happy when you answer the phone:
“Trixie’s Call Girl Service. Press ‘one’ for an appointment. Press ‘two’ if you are seeking employment. Press ‘three’ if you are a law enforcement officer.”

If there is one “cool” thing that I’d like to see happen while I inhabit Earth would be to find life on another planet. I’ll not talking about the silly looking space Martians that have big oval eyes and points sticking out of their heads. I’m talking about finding organic life which may bring some clues as to how all of this started i.e. Earth. Something even cooler would be able to actually travel through space and live on another planet. No?
To further my hope, “NASA has announced”:http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2003/12/09/MNGON3J5RN1.DTL that they plan on sending a giant nuclear powered spacecraft to the Jupiter moon Europa to explore. They don’t plan on launching “JIMO”:http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/jimo/ anytime soon, maybe as early as 2012.
Yes, I’m a “Big Bang theory”:http://liftoff.msfc.nasa.gov/academy/universe/b_bang.html believer. I just don’t see one person waving his hands and creating Earth. I hope I didn’t disappoint anyone, but that’s just the way I see it. BTW, there is a new theory dubbed “Brane-Storm”:http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/astronomy/bigbang_alternative_010413-1.html that is similar to the Big Bang yet centers around a 5th dimension. Yeah, ok, whatever.. Would somebody just figure this out already

Figures. Microsoft can’t create jack on their own. Thanks to Mike over at “Webspiffy”:http://www.webspiffy.com, I’ve learned of a “new reason to hate Microsoft”:http://webspiffy.com/archives/2003/11/google_merger/ even more.
If Microsoft did buy “Google”:http://www.google.com/ I’d have to force myself to stop using the web’s best search engine. I just can’t be apart of this “take over the world through mergers” strategy any longer. I’ve used Microsoft’s home grown search apps before and they’ve all sucked. The one powering their web site is less than stellar. Being a developer of Windows applications (yeah, I know… ) I happen to use their “MSDN”:http://msdn.microsoft.com/ and “Technet”:http://www.microsoft.com/technet/ searches quite a bit. I usually wind up not finding what I need and I resort to Google for the answer. Microsoft has so much content that I can see how it could be challenging to organize it correctly but buying Google is not the answer. The problem is, they aren’t buying Google to improve their own search capabilities, they’re buying them to swallow more of the web into the Gates empire.
*Sigh.*
